At the Mines...

Tyler and Calsey were married last weekend at a the Mines of Spain.  For those of you not up on your Tri State Area knowledge, the Mines of Spain is a beautiful nature preserve on the South side of the county.  The ceremony was in Horseshoe Canyon which is a very unique area nestled in between towering limestone walls.  The tracks that run nearby the canyon follow the curves of the Mississippi River.
After the Mines we stopped at Murphy Park which is nearby the Mines of Spain before the Ceremony at the Fair Grounds in Dubuque.
Love this moment between Calsey and her Grandpa dancing at the reception

Heather and John's Wedding

Last Saturday's wedding was beautiful!  Heather and John were so nice to work with, we really enjoyed photographing their wedding.  The reception was at the Star Brewery and the food was great.  We love shooting around the Star area...so many interesting angles and backgrounds there.  I was interested in the dessert at the wedding too.  Koppes Kreations , in Cascade, which I hadn't heard of until this weekend, they make some incredible desserts.

Here are some of our favorites from the day...

Can't wait for the album to be completed!

Mr. and Mrs Tony Dix

Kelly and Tony were married at Saint Joe's Key West and the reception followed at the Dubuque Fair Grounds.  We had a great time photographing their wedding!  The cake was cupcakes layered with a small cake to top it off.  I really liked that it was different then traditional cakes.  My favorite from the day is the black and white of the first dance.

Blue Room Productions did the videography, I hope I get to see the finished product.  Rachel from Blue Room always does a nice job.

Other then that enjoy the images, can't wait to see the final version of their designed album...

Emily & Spencer

Emily and Spencer were married at the Dyersville Basilica .   We stopped by the Arboretum  for some fun images before we made our way to the reception at the Grand River Center.  We like images that show true expressions, so the image by the trolley is one of our favorites!    Emily has such a great smile.  Emily and Spencer's first dance was nice.  The large windows at the Grand River Center look awesome in the background.   I'm excited to see the completed album, I'm sure the design is going to look great.  I'm glad they don't have to pick and choose which images to include, it would be to hard, they all look great!
