I figured out we would start the blog off with a BANG and fill you in on something cool right away. In the beginning of January I got the opportunity to go to SPA (Senior Portrait Artist) in LAS VEGAS!
SPA is an
intense conference designed to continue the education of established photographers that create high school seniors' images. The conference allows you to work with the top senior portrait photographers in the country. Going to this conference not only allows you to go to
classes about lighting and posing, but
actually photograph models. This keeps us in tune with the latest poses and the hottest new colors before we hit the coming senior season. These are just a few quick out takes of areas we shot and some of the models that I got to work with.
In the midst of all of the photography fun we also took advantage of some other cool things to do in Vegas. We did the typical Vegas to-dos, like shows and hit the strip, but we also did some off the beaten path things in Vegas. This is me and some fellow photographers horseback riding through Redrock (Teri Ann, Lisa and Me-Eric)
Overall, the convention was pretty sweet. We are always excited for the opportunity to grow and do different things. I feel that creativity not only needs to constantly evolve, but also needs to be captured knowledgeably.
