Stephanie and Kelly LeFevour

Stephanie and Kelly were married December 12th at Holy Ghost in Dubuque. They were great about going outside in the cold. We got some awesome winter weather portraits. The reception was at Hotel Julien and everything there was beautiful just like always. Here are some of my favorites from the day :)

PS... LOVED the Unicorn Dance!

Heather and Nick's Big Day

Heather and Nick were married the day after Thanksgiving at a beautiful ceremony at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Kieler Wisconsin that was followed by a gracious reception at the Silver Eagle in East Dubuque. We made a few stops in between too.
(Nick and Heather...you will have to tell your co-worker that we think his apartment makes a pretty sweet background)
Heather looks sooooo beautiful here :)

Melissa and Wes

With the days getting shorter we have less time to do outdoor photography at a weddings.
For Melissa & Wes' wedding we knew that it would be dark after the wedding so we found
some areas that we could photograph at night. It was a beautiful night just a bit windy.

The wedding party was a lot of fun and we got quite a few looks from people driving by.

shelby

Shelby and Billy decided to go outdoors in addition to our typical indoor session.
It was a pretty crappy day outside, cloudy and rainy, but they were such good sports
about it!

You know what they say though...

No Rain, No Rainbow :)

Anyways, moral of the story is that not everyday is perfect but you can still expect
awesome images from us.

Jodi and Wes

Saturday's wedding was a blast.  The ceremony was at Saint Luke's in Dubuque and we were able to make some stops at the the star brewery and the river walk before we made our way to the Julien for the reception.  When we got to the reception we did get to get some images of the guys in the Al Capone Suite at the Hotel Julien which was awesome.
Wes and Jodi's album is going to look great.
Let us know what you think in the comments!

Joy and Eug

Double wedding weekend! ...and both were beautiful even though it was a little chilly for the time of year.  Joy and Eug's wedding was Friday 10-9-09 at Holy Family in Peosta and the reception was at Silver Eagle in East Dubuque.
My favorite images were right after their ceremony just around dusk.  The sunset was beautiful.
Joy and Eugene are exceptionally caring parents and I'm glad we were able to share in their day.

Kara and Adam Ohms

Kara and Adam celebrated their wedding nuptials on 9/26/09 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in the Scales Mound/Galena area.  We started the day off at Kara's aunt's house in Galena before making our way to Grant Park to meet up with the groomsmen.  After pulling off a quick switch of the bride and groom without seeing each other we shot a few of the bride and bridesmaids and we were off to the Church.  The entire day ran smoothly, but we were a little late for the reception...their were just so many gorgeous portrait opportunities!  (and the gorgeous portrait opportunities just kept coming entire night!)

At the Mines...

Tyler and Calsey were married last weekend at a the Mines of Spain.  For those of you not up on your Tri State Area knowledge, the Mines of Spain is a beautiful nature preserve on the South side of the county.  The ceremony was in Horseshoe Canyon which is a very unique area nestled in between towering limestone walls.  The tracks that run nearby the canyon follow the curves of the Mississippi River.
After the Mines we stopped at Murphy Park which is nearby the Mines of Spain before the Ceremony at the Fair Grounds in Dubuque.
Love this moment between Calsey and her Grandpa dancing at the reception

Heather and John's Wedding

Last Saturday's wedding was beautiful!  Heather and John were so nice to work with, we really enjoyed photographing their wedding.  The reception was at the Star Brewery and the food was great.  We love shooting around the Star area...so many interesting angles and backgrounds there.  I was interested in the dessert at the wedding too.  Koppes Kreations , in Cascade, which I hadn't heard of until this weekend, they make some incredible desserts.

Here are some of our favorites from the day...

Can't wait for the album to be completed!

Mr. and Mrs Tony Dix

Kelly and Tony were married at Saint Joe's Key West and the reception followed at the Dubuque Fair Grounds.  We had a great time photographing their wedding!  The cake was cupcakes layered with a small cake to top it off.  I really liked that it was different then traditional cakes.  My favorite from the day is the black and white of the first dance.

Blue Room Productions did the videography, I hope I get to see the finished product.  Rachel from Blue Room always does a nice job.

Other then that enjoy the images, can't wait to see the final version of their designed album...

Emily & Spencer

Emily and Spencer were married at the Dyersville Basilica .   We stopped by the Arboretum  for some fun images before we made our way to the reception at the Grand River Center.  We like images that show true expressions, so the image by the trolley is one of our favorites!    Emily has such a great smile.  Emily and Spencer's first dance was nice.  The large windows at the Grand River Center look awesome in the background.   I'm excited to see the completed album, I'm sure the design is going to look great.  I'm glad they don't have to pick and choose which images to include, it would be to hard, they all look great!
